1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PaidWrite (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PaidWrite is an AI-powered document analysis tool that helps contractors and subcontractors in California identify potential compliance issues in construction documents. The Service includes:

  • Mobile application (iOS and Android)
  • Browser extension (Chrome)
  • Email-based document submission

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use PaidWrite. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Pricing

Analysis is priced per page ($2.00/page) plus a token processing fee based on AI usage. All models, including free-tier models, incur a token charge. The exact cost is shown before payment is required. You are not charged until you choose to unlock the full analysis.

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store payment card information.

4.3 No Refunds

All payments are final. Because analysis results are delivered immediately upon payment, we do not offer refunds. If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact support@paidwrite.app within 7 days.

4.4 Free Preview

The free preview (risk level badge, document type, page count) is always available without payment. Payment is only required to unlock the detailed compliance analysis.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit documents containing information about third parties without their consent
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
  • Use the Service to create competing AI training datasets
  • Impersonate another person or entity

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

PaidWrite, including its name, logo, AI models, and analysis methodology, is the intellectual property of ContraForge LLC

6.2 Your Documents

You retain all rights to your documents. By submitting a document, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the analysis. We do not store your documents.

6.3 Analysis Results

Analysis results generated by PaidWrite are provided for your personal use. You may not resell or commercially redistribute them.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI ANALYSIS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONTRAFORGE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC ANALYSIS AT ISSUE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ContraForge LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

11. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at legal@paidwrite.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under JAMS rules, except you may bring individual claims in small claims court.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email (if registered). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms.
