This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements the Terms of Service and governs your use of PaidWrite. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.
1. Permitted Use
PaidWrite is designed for:
- Analysis of construction compliance documents (lien waivers, W-9s, certificates of insurance, safety data sheets) that you have authority to submit
- Business use by California contractors, subcontractors, and construction professionals
- Personal use for reviewing documents related to your own contracting work
- Educational use for understanding construction compliance requirements
2. Prohibited Content
You must not submit:
- Documents containing personal information of third parties without their consent
- Deliberately forged, altered, or fraudulent documents intended to deceive
- Documents unrelated to construction compliance (e.g., medical records, tax returns, personal correspondence)
- Files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Content that is illegal under federal or California state law
- Documents containing classified or government-restricted information
- Content depicting or relating to the exploitation of minors
3. Prohibited Activities
You must not:
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to submit documents in bulk without a written API agreement
- Circumvent rate limits, device restrictions, or abuse-prevention measures
- Share, sell, or transfer device UUIDs or API credentials to third parties
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute analysis results
- Use analysis results to create competing AI training datasets or competing products
- Deliberately craft adversarial inputs to manipulate or exploit AI output
- Attempt to extract the underlying AI models, prompts, or analysis methodology through reverse engineering
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or defame any person or entity
- Impersonate another person, company, or entity
- Access or attempt to access another user's data, scans, or payment information
4. Rate Limits and Fair Use
- Free analyses are limited to 3 per device per day (configurable)
- API requests are rate-limited to prevent abuse
- ContraForge reserves the right to throttle or temporarily suspend access for usage patterns that degrade service quality for other users
- If you require higher throughput, contact sales@paidwrite.app for an enterprise API agreement
5. Construction-Industry Rules
- Documents must relate to California construction compliance
- Do not submit documents containing information about minors
- When submitting documents on behalf of a general contractor or subcontractor, ensure you have authorization to do so
- Analysis results are for the submitting party's use only and should not be shared as a substitute for legal counsel
6. Consequences of Violation
Violations of this AUP may result in:
ContraForge may take any of these actions at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice, depending on the severity of the violation.
7. Reporting Violations
If you believe a user is violating this AUP, or if you encounter misuse of the Service, please report it to abuse@paidwrite.app.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email (for registered users). Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
